All About Bronson

So Bronson just finished his Elementary School Career! I simply cannot believe I have a kid going into middle school. It's sad, scary and exciting all at once.

Bronson had a really great year. His teacher was awesome and was just great with the kids. When we went to conferences she recommended that Bronson apply for all 4 of the middle school HP (High Performance) classes - Science, Math, Social and English. Not only does he need a challenge, but she also mentioned that then he would be surrounded by other kids that have a love of learning. So another way of saying that is "Keeping him away from the Riff-Raff" haha. So to apply for the classes he had to fill out an application for each one, and write a short essay about why he would be a good fit for the class.

We just received the letter from the school that he was accepted into all 4 of the classes! Pretty exciting.

So since I've blogged last, Bronson had a fun birthday party at the roller rink in Princeton. Roller rinks haven't changed a bit since we hung out there as teens!

At the end of the year Bronson's class went to the Minnesota Zoo and I got to go with. It was a great day and perfect weather. Bronson's best friend Allan (picture below with the long bangs) got to be in our group which was nice so I could snap a bunch of pictures. Allan is moving to Alexandria over the summer which is bumming Bronson out. I remember how that goes. Almost every single one of my best friends ended up moving at one point or another, usually because of parent's divorce. Barry and I agreed it was important to keep the kids in the same school district from beginning to end, but I guess we can't control their friends coming and going!

So Bronson is also glad its summer and already went to a friend's bonfire birthday party. I told him to make the most of his summer because he'll be a busy boy when school starts again!
