Weekend Waterpark Fun

My mom, the boys and I spent this past weekend at the Holiday Inn/Waterpark in Otsego and had a lot of fun!  It was supposed to be a "tired of winter" weekend, but it was about 45 degrees out!  I've been loving the warm winter.

So Bronson was never a fan of the water, and was pretty much terrified of it for quite some time.  But just within the last couple of years he slowly has become more adventurous, so I was quite proud of him for braving the waterslides!  They have 3 to pick from.  One you go down on a tube (single or double) which they boys are coming out of in this picture:

 Then there's the one that you go down without a tube, and finally the dreaded "toilet bowl".  You have a super fast, pitch black ride down a tube and finally end up in a big bowl that you go round and round in until it spits you out.  The boys didn't want to do that one, so I was the one to test it out.  It was pretty intense in the beginning, but lots of fun, so I convinced Shane to try it out and he loved it.

We spent most of the time going around and round the lazy river. Which really isn't that lazy when every so often you get doused by some sort of waterfall!

Cousin Zoey came to play with us too.  She spent a little time in the water, but was shivering like crazy so the swimming adventure didn't last real long for her.  She had some fun hanging out with the boys in the hotel room after dinner.

 It was a great weekend and first-time experience at the waterpark.  I'm sure we'll go there again soon!
